INVESTMENT IN PORTUGUESE REAL ESTATE IS AROUND EUR 885 MILLION
95% of real estate investment is originating internationally
In the first half of this year, investment in commercial real estate in Portugal reached € 885 million. This corresponds to 21 transactions in the retail real estate, offices, industrial logistics and hotels.
The retail were the most traded in the period, corresponding to 45% of the total amount invested, while the offices correspond to 39%, according to data published in the Market Pulse.
Within the investment volume, 95% is of international origin, revealing that the yield has remained stable in all segments in the second quarter of 2016 compared with the first three months of the year.
According to the statements of Pedro Lancastre, commercial real estate investment is growing in Portugal, having surpassed the total recorded between 2008 and 2014. The outlook despite the uncertain context at European level, are that this growth will continue to grow. Also, the major impacts related to Brexit (withdrawal of the UK from UE) for Portugal are not expected.
