18 TIPS FOR THE ALGARVE VISITORS FROM 'EL PAIS'
By Joana P. . 5 years

The Spanish newspaper publishes a list of 18 tips for Spanish tourists who come to visit Algarve.

Spend a day among the Olhão fisherman, visiting Serra do Caldeirão, making an expedition by the Guadiana river, doing the journey to Via Algarviana, learning Cacela-a-Velha or walking to Rota Vicentina and Rota da Cortiça, - these are some of the advice examples of 'El Pais' and Lonely Planet to discover charming Algarve.

Other suggestions are to visit places like the termas de Monchique or Faro market, drink a beer in Tavira, taste the typical food in Sagres, rest in Lagos, go through the islands of the Ria Formosa, enjoy the almond blossom or get to know the fisherman village of Santa Luzia!

The article also speaks about sport - such as surfing and diving - as well as stay in the 'boutique'  hotels and traditional rural houses with typical architecture of the region.

The online version of 'El Pais' regularly publishes articles on the Algarve in its section "El Viajero".
